A little history | Well I
suppose you have got this far so I guess you would like to know a little more about me
huh? I was born in Dunedin New Zealand and grew up in Invercargill which is in the South Island of New Zealand, Invercargill is the second most southern city in New Zealand and is a beautiful city, very green and photographic ... At the age of 17 I started my own business in New Zealand breeding and training Anglo-Arabs ...and also a riding school which I worked with a parnter...we gave ex-racehorses a second chance at life as hacks and also reschooled a lot of racehorses that went on to be dressage and jumping horses ..So as you can see my love for horses goes way back as it is in my blood ..My great uncle breeds Clysdedales and trains racehorse in Scargill which is about 50 Miles out of Christchurch NZ I was involved with horses for most of my childhood and always had a pony or horse of my own... much to my Mums dislike (she was scared of them as she had taken a fall when she was a teenager and had never ridden again) so you can imagine my Mothers reaction when I told her that I wanted to be a jockey ..she told me that they would be the death of me and that there was no money in that career ..well in some ways she was right ... being an apprentice jockey didn't pay well and i had to get another job working as a forecourt attendant as well so my average day from the time I was 14 was working six or seven horses every morning at 4am then school and after school working at the garage until 10 pm every night.. I did this for about 3 years until I had enough to buy some land and do what i had always dreamed of...having my own business breeding horses ...I had had animals around me all my life and mum had breed Persian cats until I was about 20 ... and then she decided that she had had enough of it and gave them away |

At the
age of 23 I decided that it was time to move on and decided to come to Australia ...and
see what I could find here as New Zealands job market had dropped right off even thou the
horse business was still running strongly I was beginning to get itchy feet and wanted to
travel ..so in April 91 I packed my bags and came to Perth Western Australia where I meet
up with friends from home and went to work in the mining industry as a dump truck driver
in Southern Cross in a mine called Corinthia ...I had never even seen a dump truck let
alone driven one .... they were huge and actually believe it or not they are very easy to
drive once u learn how ...I actually found them easier to drive than the horse truck that
I had been driving in New Zealand ....so it was off to work every morning at 6 am until
6pm every night for 13 days a fortnight and two days off then onto nightshift for 13 days
...I did this for six months until finally a mixture of the heights we were dumping the
waste at and migraine headaches forced me to give it away and then I decided to go back to
New Zealand for a while ....after three months at home I wanted to come back to Australia
so bags repacked and back I came ....arriving back in Kalgoorlie Western Australia in
August 91 and have been here ever since then apart form a year that I spent in Perth
....Perth is a beautiful City but not for me as I hate big cities and couldn't have my
horses and that nearly killed me lol So in Febuarary 92 I came back to Kalgoorlie and found myself a good horse and a job .....I spent 12 months working as a skimpy barmaid which was working in bars around town as a bar attendant but dressed in tastful lingerie.... this career move was actually a surprise to many people as when I applied for the position I didn't think I would get it as I didn't think I had the figure to do it but I got the position and became one of the most popular skimpies in town at that time...it was funny because we worked a week at each hotel and I began to see that I had I suppose you could call it a fan club that followed me around my bars and drank where I was working .... during this 12 month period I also was working with racehorses as a strapper for Mr Neil Catlow who was an exellent boss and had some good horses that i loved working with he actually trained Soveriegn West a horse that had been given to me and it was through trying to find out Soveriegn's history that Mr Catlow had offered me the job ...so between working with the horses and schooling my own horses and being a skimpy I had a very full life I stopped workinmg as a skimpy in dec late 93 butcontinued to work in the hotel industry as a bar attendant and still do .....also I am still working with racehorses even though I had to take a 12 month break after recieving a nasty kick to my right forearm that shattered both bones and they had to be pinned for nearly twelve months so this sort of put my career on hold for a while but during that time my own horses had a lot of Mums attention and recieved a lot of schooling even thought the Doctor had told me not to ride but I didn't listen and he was surprised at how quickly I healed and regained strength back in that arm after the damage that had been done. |

Now and the Future | Two
years ago after mucking around on a friends computer and discovering the internet i
decided to get my own computer and join the internet and while playing around i discovered
a programme called mIRC so I downloaded it and thats how i discovered Dalnet .....after
looking around a few channels I stumbled into #30+Flirtzone and was made feel very welcome
in there by certian ops and have made that my home away from home now and have made some
very close friends both online and in real life through that chat room (it is one of the
warmest and friendlist rooms I had come across .....also I meet the man of my dreams in
that room and hope to meet in real life in the near future As time goes on I am learning more and more about computers and the different languages used to programme them and I am getting better and better at this side of computing. In the future I hope to be able to go to the States to meet alot of the people that I have meet online and who knows if fate plays any part of it I may even move to the States (yes the feet are getting itchy again lol) But until that time I spend time on line chatting with the friends that I have made and continue to work with and train the horses that are part of my life here in Australia Another hobby that I have is breeding Highland Collies after recieving a beautiful male puppy for my birthday three years ago I became interested in breeding them so I brought a female and have bred three litters since .... its hard not to get attached to those cute balls of fluff as they are growing up to eight weeks old and it breaks my heart selling them but I know that they are going to good homes where they will be loved .....also I have finished a five year study course to be a Veterinary ....I must be honest and admit that even though I love this work its hard to make some descions as far as the animals are concerned as I am such a softy when it comes to animals and hate to see them suffer but sometimes its better for the animal concerned to placed out of its pain and suffering but it breaks my heart that I have to do it and I really feel for the owners everytime |
